February News

It had been a great month here at Serapa Safaris with a few big changes taking place over the last couple of days. But first we must thank all of you that stopped by to visit us at one of the many hunting conventions that we attended throughout the U.S.A. Thank you to those of that have booked your dream safari with us at Serapa Safaris and we look forward to hosting you here in the beautiful South Africa.

Firstly, with a heavy heart we announce that our long time professional hunter Gielie has left Serapa Safaris, we are sad to see him go and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.

However we are beyond happy to welcome Jacques Spammer as our newest team member. Jacques is a well-known professional hunter within the South African hunting arena and has worked with some of the best hunting outfitters in South Africa. Hunting professionally since 2004 Jacques is one of the most experienced lion and dangerous game hunters in South Africa. He will be joining the team as our head professional hunter and will be filling Gielie’s shoes. He will be involved with everyday camp life having input on all marketing and advertising strategies. JacquesJacques brings a lot to the table expanding the Serapa Safaris portfolio into Zimbabwe. Thanks to Jacques involvement Serapa Safaris is now offering three leopard tags in Zimbabwe. These leopards are highly sought after in one of Zimbabwe’s best hunting concessions, which border the world renowned Bubye Valley Conservancy (formerly known as Lemco). The leopard hunts are all-inclusive and can be hunted using dogs. With only limited tags available these tags will not be available for long so if you’re interested contact Jacques on js@serapasafaris.co.za.

With our hunting season already under way our staff are busy making repairs to our roads, waterholes, bow blinds and hunting vehicles, getting everything in working order for the busy hunting season we have ahead of us.
We are so glad that we have had some mush needed rain, this should help see our animals through the tough winter that is swiftly approaching, even though we have stopped subsidizing our wildlife’s food with alphalpha we can see their condition and coats improving.

Our first client in camp this year is Doug; he was the winning bidder on our lioness donation at the SCI Northern Alberta Chapter in 2015. He is busy hunting with C.J. and they are having a great time taking some exceptional trophies already. Doug just recently celebrated his birthday here at Serapa and we wish him a great year ahead.

Serapa Safaris is also undergoing a huge re-branding where we are undergoing a change in the way we look as well as addressing a few other functional areas of our company. Including re-branding our web page, as soon as it is launched we will give all our newsletter readers a sneak peak.

As I’m sure most of you have noticed we recently had to shut down our Serapa Safaris Facebook page due to some non-hunters posting terrible things on our client’s pages. We have since opened a new page at AAA Serapa Safaris so click on our link AAA Serapa Safaris – Africa and give us a like to follow our daily activities in camp.

Yours sincerely
The Serapa Safaris Team
